Spaceward Bound India 2025

 

Inclusions for Participants

  1. 1-night single occupancy stay at a hotel in New Delhi (Aerocity) for international participants upon arrival into India and before departure to home country on July 17 2025 and July 27 2025. 

  2. Airport pick/drop in New Delhi for international participants. 

  3. 6 nights stay at Resort in Saboo, Ladakh on twin-sharing basis. 

  4. 3 nights stay in a prefixed campsite on a twin-sharing basis with an attached bathroom and communal eating area in Tso Kar.

  5. All meals in Saboo (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at the hotel in Buffet style). 

  6. Special dietary requirements should be provided in registration form or at least 30 days prior to arrival. 

  7. Morning and evening tea. 

  8. All meals, especially enroute and at Tso Kar will be basic - keeping in the terrain and climate for best energy levels. (Buffet style) [packed lunches on field trips.] Team will try their best to accommodate all dietary preferences.

  9. Airport transfers by shuttle on the day of arrival & departure from hotel (Fixed Timings). 

  10. Field trips as per program from Leh using Tempo Traveler. 

  11. Services of an experienced researcher from a well-known and reputed institution, who will share their knowledge and experience on the different aspects of the programme.

  12. Ground handling support by an experienced professional who is well versed in the terrain and the area as a whole. 

  13. All permits required to travel to these protected places and all the approvals needed from the Govt & Local Administrations to do the scientific programmes.

  14. All types of scientific activities under the guidance of a professional scientist.

  15. Activities and included supplies as per SB India 2025 schedule. 

  16. Basic First-Aid Supplies with oxygen cylinders if required.

  17. Sample collection permits and storage facilities. (Any special storage requirements such as temperature control, large volume, etc. is not included by default and has to be discussed immediately upon registration). 

  18. RO filtered water at both sites.

  19. Local walking tours for acclimatization

  20. Travel Kit (Includes Team Merchandise and Travel Booklet.) 

  21. Certificate on completion of the course 

  22. All Taxes and GST. 

  23. Group photographs will be shared online.


 

Exclusions for Participants

 

  1. International/domestic airfare bookings.  

  2. Visa fees for foreign nationals (invitation letter will be provided upon request) 

  3. Travel / Medical Insurance. 

  4. Cost of evacuation, stay and hospitalization due to AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) has to be borne by the participant. 

  5. Covid test (if required) has to be borne by the participant. 

  6. Personal or individual research travel to locations other than those on the itinerary as part of the team.

  7. Meals outside of the Team Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and morning and evening tea. 

  8. Additional nights in Leh on account of Cancellations of flights or circumstances beyond out of control

  9. Field gear such as protective clothing, shoes, and other items. (We will provide a suggested packing list to all participants). 

  10. Anything which is not specified/mentioned in the itinerary.

  11. All/Any expenses passengers might have incurred due to circumstances beyond our control such as flight cancellation/delays, accidents of any nature, bad weather, natural calamities, medical evacuation, supplier policies, etc.
